Company expands business with two U.S. lottery customers

Ohio

GTECH has signed a contract to provide 4,500 GTECH Validation Terminals (GVTs) and related services to the Ohio Lottery.

GTECH, which currently supplies and operates the Lottery’s automated instant ticket validation and accounting system, has been supplying on- line equipment and services to the Ohio Lottery since 1985. Today’s news follows three recent announcements made by GTECH. In January, GTECH was selected to supply, operate and maintain a new on- line system for the Missouri Lottery. The selection followed a competitive procurement. In addition, the New Jersey Lottery Commission recommended GTECH to provide a new on-line lottery system and services for the state. The award of a contract in New Jersey is subject to final approval. Last week, GTECH announced it had signed a subcontract with High Integrity Systems, Inc. (HISI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Equifax Inc., to assist with the development, implementation and support of an automated instant ticket gaming system for the California State Lottery.

GTECH Corporation is the world’s leading supplier of computerized on- line lottery products and services. Currently, GTECH has contracts to supply and/or operate lottery systems for 27 U.S. customers and 47 customers outside of the United States.
