GTECH Announces New Contracts with Customers in Singapore and Malaysia

GTECH today announced it has signed new product sales agreements with customers in Singapore and Malaysia.

Singapore

GTECH signed a product sales agreement with Singapore Pools (Private) Limited for the development and installation of sports betting games.

The sports betting games will operate off GTECH’s Prosys™ online gaming system, which was installed in February 1998, and Singapore Pools existing lottery terminals. GTECH’s Prosys system is a gaming platform that can conveniently and cost efficiently introduce a range of exciting gaming options, such as traditional lottery games and sports betting, through a single system.

The sports betting games are expected to be available by March 30, 1999, coinciding with the beginning of the Singapore Soccer League season.

Singapore Pools has been a GTECH customer since 1985 when the Company was awarded a contract to provide the first online, lottery-specific system in Asia.
